DIG CONFERENCE TESTIMONIALS

Hear what DIG Conference participants have to say about participating in the DIG Conference LIVE days, held November 3-5, 2020

It will help me tweak what we are already doing.

– Matt Foertmeyer, Foertmeyer & Sons Greenhouses, OH

I picked up a lot of really good tips. Not only for PGRs but also for helping manage our insecticide programs and fungicide programs.

– Erin Melbert, Bedner’s Farm & Greenhouse, PA

I think a great thing about this conference and the speakers is they gave a lot of practical knowledge, useful knowledge. There is a bunch of stuff you can take and be using within the next couple of weeks when we start young plant propagation.

– Bob Dickman, Dickman Farms LLC, NY

There is so much good information. Growers want to have answers and there was a lot of answer giving here that growers need.

– Suzanne Wainwright-Evans, Buglady Consulting

The disease talks were phenomenal

– Suzanne Wainwright-Evans, Buglady Consulting

It allowed us to apply some great educational sessions – hearing from people with PhD’s and degrees – people smarter than I – it helps give insights on things we’ve been discussing.

– Rob O’Hara, Rainbow Greenhouses, British Columbia

It would be hard to pull all the people out of our facility to go to a conference…it allowed them to get exposure to the industry that I don’t think we’d be able to do. Thank you for organizing. I think it’s been really good.

– Rob O’Hara, Rainbow Greenhouses, British Columbia

Beneficials have been the buzz for a while, but I’ve never really looked into it. This is pushing me into the field and trying to set up programs and get that ball rolling.

– Thomas Minter, Loma Visa Nursery Inc, KS

It is the kind of information that someone in R&D needs to hear.

– Brock Martindale, Corteva AgriScience, IN

In the Hemp Education Track, join fellow growers and leading researchers in the discovery of effective methods for managing the health of your hemp crop.

Diseases

Diseases can have a huge impact on a grower’s bottom line, especially in ornamentals. From mildews to root rot, the Diseases Education Track will cover strategies for disease control through cultural, chemical, and biological management.

Insect & Mite Pests

Take your defense to offense with the Insect & Mite Pests Education Track. These sessions will cover a range of topics from insecticide rotation to new pests to be on the lookout for.

Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs)

Plant Growth Regulators can be one of the strongest, and most difficult to manage, tools in a grower’s toolbox. The PGR Education Track will help growers determine how to effectively use PGRs in their greenhouse through the exploration of the latest research and methods from industry experts.

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS

Minimum System Requirements: 1024 x 768 screen resolution minimum 1.4 Mbps internet connection minimum Allow Flash Disable Pop Up Blockers Disconnect from a VPN (if possible) PRINT TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS

DOES YOUR SYSTEM MEET THE REQUIREMENTS

Perform a quick system and webinar system test to find out if your system meets the minimum system requirements. System Test Webinar System Test Please note: This system check covers standard platform functionality. It does not cover requirements for any 3rd party services that may be integrated into the experience. Verify the domains listed below in the Technical Requirements are not blocked by your personal or corporate network. DEVICES Laptop, computer (Mac or PC) or tablets (Android or IOS) are supported. This is a virtual, browse-based experience. If you are using an older, or unsupported Operating System, Internet Browser, or version of Flash, you may experience decreased performance. We recommend Chrome or Firefox as the most stable and consistent browsers for accessing the virtual environment. FIREWALL An automatic system test is available that will check connectivity of the domains listed in the detailed System Technical Requirements (below). BANDWIDTH Sufficient bandwidth at each office location is necessary. Estimate total bandwidth required by multiplying the numbers of computers connecting to an event by the above bit rate estimate. If network bandwidth is a concern, we recommend accessing the environment in groups, thereby reducing the total number of individual streams to an office. INTERNET CONNECTIVITY A strong, wired broadband connection with a speed of at least 1.4 Mbps. You may view the virtual experience on a slower connection, however, some users may experience load times that are longer than normal with larger content items, such as High Definition video streams. We recommend:

  • A strong Wi-Fi connection or hardwired internet connection is recommended
  • Disconnect from VPN or corporate networks (if possible).
  • Close any un necessary applications.
  • Refrain from browsing the internet, streaming media and/or downloading large files during this time.

WORK FROM HOME EMPLOYEES

Connect to the internet using a network cable rather than using a wireless network. If a corporate VPN is used, confirm that the above network traffic is not directed over the VPN. If it is, have users turn off the VPN while attending the event.
